Horns

This is my cover idea for Joe Hill's Horns.
It is an awesome story made all the better by reading during this time of the year when horror is in the air. If you feel compelled to know more about this book because of this picture please share the picture, That is before you go buy the book or download the audiobook ( either one is great). By doing this you spread my work to more people and give guys like me a better shot at getting paid to do this kind of stuff. So if you want to help me accomplish this dream please share this picture with anyone you think might like it or even better someone who be so good as to pay me to paint a picture for him/ her.

Cheers all and hope y'all a Happy Gallows Eve

beautiful

I don;t know exactly what it is about this short that is so beautiful. I know I love the music and the animation but something about it is just....I dont even have a word that can really describe it. I found it on a website of a deviant artist I watch http://watch-mute-cinema.diary.ru/ he has a lot of great stuff that kind of a cross between anime and pixar but set in WW2, or if you want heres his deviant page http://phobs.deviantart.com/. either way that is all.

Theses where some quick 5 min sketches of Wyatt Earp and Doc Holiday (two of my favorite old west folk heroes) after watching Tombstone with Kurt Russel and Val Kilmer. I wanted to see how accurate I could be in a quick draw (yes I am aware of how lame that pun is) so let me know what you think.

Hey guys this one piece orbits around alan moores character Dr. Manhattan (John Osterman) one of my favorite characters next to Rorschach. This one was done for my monthly pummel competition for August. I knew that I wanted to make it kind of a set up shot concerning what manhattan said at the end of the book and movie about how maybe he would create life somewhere else. I added the Rorschach planet as a tip of the hat and the watchmen pin to add a little deph to the piece and balance the composition a bit better.
